The Colorado Sprint also boasts the title of being a Military-inspired event, held at the Fort Carson Army Base. In fact, the new locale has been nicknamed "Agony Hill." Its fourth year in Colorado Springs, the event has been moved to a nearby location that course insiders describe as "awesome" and "unbelievable." At an elevation of nearly 6000 feet, the altitude will provide its own obstacle for many and the setting will capitalize on the state’s rugged terrain, including sagebrush, vast fields, loose rocks, mud, creeks, cactus, shrubs and rolling terrain interspersed with steep inclines. With 20 to 30 obstacles packed into three to five miles at the base of the Rocky Mountains, the Colorado Military Sprint brings a unique challenge-and a unique finisher’s medal-to the West on May 2nd and 3rd.
